    Nonprofit Development Corporation, (NDC) is currently seeking a full-time Skilled Carpenter to join our team!  This person will be responsible for providing skilled carpentry, general maintenance and labor services related to construction at a variety of job sites in the community.  Must be able to adhere to project scopes and time schedules.    

    • Daylight, Monday-Friday

    • 40 hours/week

    • Hours:  7:00AM – 3:30PM or 8:00AM – 4:30PM

    • Occasional on-call for evenings/weekends

    • Travel required – work truck provided.  Or, if you decide to use your own vehicle we offer travel mileage reimbursement at the state set rate.

    • Hourly range is $23.00 - $25.00 depending on experience

    Responsibilities: 

    • Provides carpentry and general labor in support of the construction managers and supervisors at residential, business, and commercial construction sites.

    • Unloads and loads materials; assists in the delivery or set up of materials and equipment.

    • Remove trash, residual building debris and other materials from construction sites.

    • Constructs and disassembles reinforcement braces, concrete forms, scaffolds, and temporary structures.

    • Assists with demolitions.

    • Services machines including pumps, compressors, generators, tractors, and trailers.

    • Prepare materials, including mixing/laying concrete, grout, cement, sand, or plaster.

    • Operates a variety of construction equipment and hand tools.

    • Reads blueprints and designs.

    • Performs carpentry and general labor duties as directed by the Project & Facilities Manager and site supervisor.

    • Performs related duties as required and directed.

    • Demonstrate teamwork with co-workers and members of the community.

    • Adheres to workplace safety guidelines.

    • Other duties as assigned to support the mission of the agency.

    Qualifications: 

    • Preferred - high school diploma/GED.

    • 2 years’ experience as a Skilled Carpenter or in the construction trade.

    • Knowledge of ADA and building codes.

    • Ability to work with common hand tools and ground maintenance equipment.

    • Strong initiative and flexibility to meet task deadlines.

    • Ability to work independently.

    • Valid PA driver’s license or access to reliable transportation to work sites.

    • Act 33/34 and FBI clearances will be required.  EOE/ADA

    Responsibilities:

    • Execute proper pre-bake, baking, and post-bake procedures in a timely fashion.

    • Produce consistent, high quality finished baked products to customers and ensure all products meet visual and taste expectations.

    • Ensure brand production standards and systems are executed on shift and transition to crew position when production levels are complete for the day.

    • Maintain a consistently high level of product quality, environment, and optimum output with minimum waste.

    • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen/work area.

    • Demonstrate commitment to company products and services.

    • Follow health and safety guidelines at all times.

    Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma or GED

    • Preferably 1-3 years of baking experience. We are willing to train the right candidates

    • Ability to work overnight shifts

    • Must be able to regularly lift up to 50lbs

    • Must be punctual and highly reliable

    • Strong attention to detail, ability to follow recipes, and can multitask

    • Act 33/34 clearances will be required

    • Daylight hours (schedule may vary)

    • Hours can be - 5:30AM to 10:00AM, 9:00AM to close (2ish), 5:30AM to close (2ish).  We close at 2:00 but could be there longer doing closing work depending on how busy it is

    • 2-3 days/per week

    • Casual (part-time) - Less than 30 hours/per week

    • Ability to work on weekends

    • $14-16/hour, plus tips!!!

    Responsibilities:

    • Operate cash registers, greet customers, take food and drink orders, and complete transactions.   

    • Regularly clean workstations, brew and grind coffee, restock cups and food items, and assist bakers.  

    • Handle guests’ concerns and complaints professionally and calmly to resolve problems according to agency policies.   

    • Complies with all proper uniform standards and sanitation/hygiene requirements.  

    • Present for all assigned shifts and holds self-accountable for ensuring successful transition to additional shifts.  May need to stay late, come in early or report for shifts outside of the normal schedule.  

    • Demonstrates practical knowledge, problem-solving and decision-making skills; anticipates problems and develops workable solutions.  

    • Must be able to work on foot for long periods of time.

    Qualifications:

    • Act 33/34 clearances will be required. 

    • Ability to read and write with basic math skills.

    • Must be able to regularly lift up to 50lbs.
